E-commerce payment gateways we work with

Over the years we have completed many e-commerce websites and implemented various e-commerce solutions for our clients.

With each of these projects, there has been some sort of payment that is required from the website user, whether it be credit card or EFT, which can be for once off payments or recurring payments.

Due to the sensitivity of dealing with credit cards and the amount of credit card fraud occurring these days, we don’t process nor store any credit card details whatsoever.

With this in mind, we make use of third party payment gateways to handle all payment and credit card details. These companies specialise in handling online payments and have a variety of steps and security measures in place to securely process these transactions and store the details safely and securely.

⢟ WE TRUST THE PAYMENT GATEWAYS FOR PROCESSING OF CREDIT CARD PAYMENTS

We, therefore, integrate websites or web applications with the payment gateway’s platform/infrastructure, through an API (Application Program Interface). Each payment gateway has a different way of integration due to their internal infrastructure and security requirements.

We have successfully integrated with the following payment gateways:

Paypal:

Well known International company offering a variety of payment solutions, however, the downside to this is that they do not support transactions in South African Rand, therefore making it unappealing if your target market is buying in Rand.

Payfast:

Offers credit card, Instant EFT and other payment methods. Includes basic fraud screening. A benefit to Payfast is that you do not require a merchant account to make use of their services, which basically speeds up the entire process dramatically, as opposed to obtaining a merchant account from a bank.

Mygate:

Independent payment gateway, based in Cape Town. They offer a variety of payment products, you need a merchant account to make use of their services.

Paygate:

Independent payment gateway, which offers a variety of payment solution including recurring billing through their Paysubs product. A good option if you want to use your own merchant account.

Monster Pay:

Part of SetCom who also offer SID (Secure Instant Deposit). Payments are made offsite (IE on Monster Pay’s site).

VCS:

VCS (Virtual Card Services) have been in the payment business for more than 19 years, meaning they are well-established and have a long list of clients that make use of their services. VCS is also part of Standard Bank.

Iveri:

Iveri is an enterprise level payment gateway, with various payment solutions, including mobile and batch payments. Iveri is part of Nedbank.

Sage Pay:

Sage Pay (previously Sage Netcash) offers the ability to do credit payments as well as recurring billing. They also offer various debit order solutions as well.

Payu:

Naspers-owned payment gateway, which integrates with many of the content management systems and e-commerce platforms.
